Lessons learned

May 31, 2011

When the Yarnharlot didn’t follow patterns (or questioned the directions) she learned from those mistakes. I should have taken her advice, from long ago. I worked into the night on the Dublin Bay Sock heel flap only to discover this morning that the heel flap was wrong! I had been knitting it like a normal sock heel and didn’t even pay attention to the directions.

I should have followed the directions, but I didn’t and I have had to rip out the beginnings of a gusset and the entire heel flap. I will start again on the heel flap tomorrow, for now I have a family emergency and I don’t know when I will be able to post. Hope things are well with you, my lovely readers!
